O Woman of Precious Honor
By: Moustafa Youssef Ismail
O woman of precious honor,
O love of my heart, and breaker of the enemies’ strength,
My heart awakened to the call of love and sacrifice,
So do not think that I scheme like the enemies.
If love has reached you through my words,
Then between us stands the sword as a meeting of destiny.
You may think that honor lies in cleverness of mind,
And that the multitude alone can create victory and survival.
Have you not seen how numbers did not defeat
The enemy of God on the Day of Al-Ahzab?
And how the Lord’s victory came from above the clouds,
Exposing falsehood and sweeping the dust from the face of truth?
And horses upon their lofty steeds move forward,
While the voice of truth on the battlefield fears nothing.
So be wise, and step away from the paths of suspicion.
Leave illusion to those who belong to it; for patience and dreams are always beautiful,
Like a scene from the finest of films.
And when the moment of meeting arrives,
The truth will become clear to you,
And then you will realize the insignificance of the enemies,
And understand that truth is never lost, no matter how long the hardship may last.
So do not rush to judgment,
And do not make suspicion your title.
The meeting is near,
And the days will reveal what has remained hidden of the truth.
O master of all intrigues,
Be patient a little...
For truth has its appointed time,
And the truth itself does not fear the moment of meeting.
